One of the most intimate and exciting day after you say “yes!” to the ring is the engagement photoshoot! This is where you get to have some fun and take the pictures that you will share with family and friends.
Make your engagement photos even more special by choosing a location that holds a lot of meaning to you both. Make a list of places that had an impact on your relationship? Where did you meet? Where did you have your first date? Where was the proposal? Also consider locations that have a special meaning to the development of your relationship such as a vacation spot or the place you were in when you first said “I love you” to one another!
After thinking about all these locations and pinning down a couple you’re set on, think of the aesthetic of your photos. How do you want the scenery and color to look? Do you want to be walking down your college lawn with falling autumnal leaves? Was the rocky edge of your favorite beach vacation spot the perfect backdrop for your summer vibe? Consider what season you want to take the photos in, what you want to wear, and the mood of the photos are you discuss with your photographer where to take the pictures.
Whichever location you choose for your engagement photoshoot, just be yourselves! There are so many places you can take these photos that are special to you but what matters most is you are together. Discuss your vision with your photographer and then have fun with it!
