Choosing Wedding Florals

Sure, everyone ends up purchasing flowers for their wedding. The question is: how do you choose the quantity and what kind of florals you want for your big day?

The great news about flowers is you can typically choose a color scheme and have your pick on a variety of different types. However, if you are looking for a more specialized style of arrangement, you may have to pay extra depending on if that specific flower is in season.

First, consider the variety of arrangements you will need: bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, centerpieces, and then any other places such as staircases or bar tops you want flowers to be present. Next, you want to breakdown the quantity of each. You will discuss this with your initial meeting with your florist when you go over how many tables you will have and how many people will be in your wedding party.

Be flexible and go with your color theme. If you have a favorite, must-have flower that is out of your budget, you can still purchase it for your bouquet and sweetheart table. Then, keep your centerpieces and other arrangements within the same color palette but be open to the flowers that will be freshest and most affordable. Your florist will be able to guide you to many options that will look stunning to fulfill your vision!
